Jumbo Media & Films Co. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Roomate.Club platform ("the Service"), a booking platform for party rooms and shared spaces in Hong Kong. We are not an Online Travel Agency (OTA) and do not provide any travel services or products. The Service facilitates direct bookings between users and vendors. This Privacy Policy applies to both general users and vendors. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("PDPO") and other applicable laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). It explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Service, including our website[](https://roomate.club), progressive web app (PWA), iOS app, Android app, and related applications.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We adhere to PDPO's six Data Protection Principles (DPPs): (1) Purpose and manner of collection; (2) Accuracy and duration of retention; (3) Use of data; (4) Security of data; (5) Information to data subjects; and (6) Access to personal data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, improve, and secure the Service. Collection is for specified purposes with consent where required (PDPO DPP1). Data collection differs for general users and vendors.

1.1 Personal Information from General Users

• Registration: Mobile number, email, full name, username (user-created), and password.
• Bookings and Features: Booking details (dates, guests, messages), reviews, ratings (stars, comments, images), favorites, search history, and Points Program participation.
• Optional Profile: Address, preferences.

1.2 Personal Information from Vendors

• In Addition to User Data: Above registration info, plus property details (e.g., venue address, amenities, capacity from our property management tools).
• Verification Documents: Business registration/HKID copy, bank statement copy, address proof copy for compliance and payments. We use Didit.me for KYC verifications, which may involve uploading government-issued IDs and biometric checks (e.g., liveness detection and face match) to verify identity.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information (All Users)

• Usage and Device Data: IP address, browser type, device info, OS, pages visited, timestamps, and interaction logs (e.g., for analytics, fraud detection like malicious cancellations, and content delivery).
• Location Data: Approximate location (via IP) for venue suggestions; exact location only with consent (e.g., via Google Maps/Mapbox).
• Cookies and Tracking: Essential cookies for functionality; optional analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics). Manage via browser settings. IP logging for security (PDPO DPP4).

1.4 Information from Third Parties

• Payment processors (Stripe for credit cards/Alipay/WeChat Pay) share transaction confirmations.
• Vendors share booking/vendor messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

Uses are limited (PDPO DPP3):

• Provide Service: Process bookings, manage accounts/properties, facilitate communication, award Points, enable favorites/ratings/search.
• Improve Service: Analyze usage (Google Analytics) for features/fairness (e.g., rating algorithms with adjustments, varying weights for user ratings).
• Communicate: Confirmations, updates, promotions (consent for marketing via notifications/emails).
• Security/Fraud: Verify identity (vendor docs via Didit.me), detect abuse (IP logging, reCAPTCHA for malicious cancellations).
• Legal: Comply with HKSAR laws/disputes.

Ratings (stars, comments, images) are user-generated for reference only; algorithms calculate overall scores for fairness (adjustments/varying weights applied). We disclaim responsibility for rating accuracy or decisions.

Vendor docs (HKID, bank) and KYC data via Didit.me used solely for verification/payments; not shared beyond processors.

3. How We Share Your Information

Sharing is necessary/minimal (PDPO DPP3):

• Vendors: User booking details (name, phone, guests, messages); vendor property data to users for listings.
• Service Providers: Limited to Stripe (payments), Mailgun (emails), Didit.me (KYC/identity verification), Google (Analytics/reCAPTCHA/Maps), Mapbox (locations), Data.gov.hk (scheduling; https://data.gov.hk/en-data/dataset/hk-dpo-statistic-cal). See their policies.
• Legal: HKSAR laws, courts, or rights protection.
• Transfers: Mergers/acquisitions.

No data sales.

4. Your Rights Under PDPO

(PDPO DPP5/6):

• Access/Correction: View/correct data (free once/year).
• Deletion: Erase data (legal retention limits).
• Consent Withdrawal: Opt-out non-essential (e.g., marketing).
• Complaint: Us or Privacy Commissioner[](https://www.pcpd.org.hk).

Requests to [email protected]; respond within 40 days, verify identity.

5. Data Retention

(PDPO DPP2):

• Registration/Booking: Active use + 7 years (tax/legal).
• Vendor Docs/Property/KYC Data: Verification period + 7 years.
• Usage/Analytics/Ratings/Favorites: Up to 2 years or dispute resolution.

Securely delete/anonymize afterward.

6. Data Security

(PDPO DPP4): Encryption, access controls, secure servers for all data (including vendor docs, KYC data via Didit.me, IP). No absolute guarantee; report breaches to [email protected].

7. International Data Transfers

Data may transfer outside HKSAR (e.g., US/EU for Google/Stripe/Mailgun/Didit.me/Mapbox) with safeguards (standard contractual clauses, PDPO-compliant).

8. Third-Party Links

Links to vendors/processors (e.g., Stripe, Didit.me) not covered; review their policies.

9. Children's Privacy

For 18+ only (per T&Cs); no knowing collection from minors. If found, delete. Parents: Contact for removal.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update from time to time, may not notify every change. Significant via website/email/app. Continued use = acceptance.

• 預訂及功能：預訂詳情（日期、人數、訊息）、評論、評分（星級、評論、圖片）、收藏、搜尋歷史及積分計劃參與。
• 可選檔案：地址、偏好。

1.2 供應商的個人資料

• 除用戶資料外：上述註冊資訊，加上物業詳情（例如場地地址、設施、容量，從我們的物業管理工具收集）。
• 驗證文件：商業登記/香港身份證副本、銀行對帳單副本、地址證明副本，用於合規及付款。我們使用Didit.me進行KYC驗證，可能涉及上傳政府發出身份證件及生物識別檢查（例如活體檢測及面部比對）以驗證身份。

1.3 所有用戶的自動收集資料

• 使用及設備資料：IP地址、瀏覽器類型、設備資訊、OS、瀏覽頁面、時間戳記及互動記錄（例如用於分析、防欺詐如惡意取消及內容傳遞）。
• 位置資料：經IP的近似位置，用於場地建議；精確位置僅經同意（例如經Google Maps/Mapbox）。
• Cookies及追蹤：必要cookies用於功能；可選分析cookies（例如Google Analytics）。經瀏覽器設定管理。IP記錄用於安全（私隱條例DPP4）。

1.4 來自第三方的資料

• 付款處理商（Stripe用於信用卡/支付寶/微信支付）分享交易確認。
• 供應商分享預訂/供應商訊息。

2. 我們如何使用您的資料

使用限於指定目的（私隱條例DPP3）：

• 提供服務：處理預訂、管理帳戶/物業、促進溝通、獎勵積分、啟用收藏/評分/搜尋。
• 改進服務：分析使用（Google Analytics）以提升功能及公平性（例如評分算法，調整及不同用戶評分比重）。
• 聯繫：確認、更新、推廣（營銷經同意經通知/電郵）。
• 安全/防欺詐：驗證身份（供應商文件經Didit.me）、偵測濫用（IP記錄、reCAPTCHA防惡意取消）。
• 法律：遵守香港特別行政區法律/爭議。

評分（星級、評論、圖片）為用戶生成，僅用於參考/顯示；算法計算整體分數以維持公平（可能調整，不同比重）。我們免除評分準確性或決定責任。

供應商文件（香港身份證、銀行）及經Didit.me的KYC資料僅用於驗證/付款；不超出處理商分享。

3. 我們如何分享您的資料

分享限必要/最小（私隱條例DPP3）：

• 供應商：用戶預訂詳情（姓名、電話、人數、訊息）；供應商物業資料給用戶用於上市。
• 服務提供商：有限資料給Stripe（付款）、Mailgun（電郵）、Didit.me（KYC/身份驗證）、Google（Analytics/reCAPTCHA/Maps）、Mapbox（位置）及Data.gov.hk（排程；https://data.gov.hk/en-data/dataset/hk-dpo-statistic-cal）。詳見其政策。
• 法律：遵守香港特別行政區法律、法院或保護權利/安全。
• 轉讓：合併/收購時。

不售賣資料。

4. 您的私隱條例權利

（私隱條例DPP5/6）：

• 查閱/更正：查看/更正資料（每年免費一次）。
• 刪除：抹除資料（法律保留限制）。
• 撤回同意：退出非必要（例如營銷）。
• 投訴：我們或私隱專員公署（https://www.pcpd.org.hk）。

請求至[email protected]；40天內回應，驗證身份。

5. 資料保留

（私隱條例DPP2）：

• 註冊/預訂：活躍 + 7年（稅務/法律）。
• 供應商文件/物業/KYC資料：驗證期 + 7年。
• 使用/分析/評分/收藏：最多2年或解決爭議。

之後安全刪除/匿名化。

6. 資料安全

（私隱條例DPP4）：加密、存取控制、安全伺服器（包括供應商文件、經Didit.me的KYC資料、IP）。無絕對保證；違規報告[email protected]。

7. 國際資料傳輸

資料可能傳輸至香港特別行政區以外（例如美國/歐盟用於Google/Stripe/Mailgun/Didit.me/Mapbox），使用標準合同條款等保障（私隱條例合規）。

8. 第三方連結

連結至供應商/處理商（例如Stripe、Didit.me）不受涵蓋；查閱其政策。

9. 兒童隱私

適用18歲以上（見條款）；不故意收集未成年人資料。如發現，刪除。家長：聯絡要求移除。

10. 本隱私政策的更改

我們可能不時更新，且未必每次通知。重大經網站/電郵/應用程式。繼續使用即接受。
